Hi. We’re a new church in Richland.
We’d love to meet you.
When you encounter Jesus, your life changes forever.
Encountering Jesus changed our lives, and we believe it will change yours too. This is why we are moving to plant a new church in the heart of Richland, so that our neighbors know Christ as we do.
Why Plant a Church?
We are not planting a church because God is not already working in Richland and the Tri-Cities or because we think we are better than other churches here. It’s just the opposite! We are already partnering with several churches in the Tri-Cities area and Central Washington for this project. We are planting a new church because nearly 60 percent of people in the Tri-Cities are irreligious and do not know the life that comes in and through Jesus. We know that no one church can meet this need on its own, and we want to join in with what God is already doing in this region in order to reach people for Christ. We want to plant a new church because church plants are 6 to 8 times more effective than established churches in reaching the lost. This means that church plants are best equipped to reach lost and unchurched people and help bring gospel transformation. In a day when many people are leaving the church and churches are closing, church planting is an essential work in God’s kingdom. This means we have work to do. If we want to see the kingdom flourish in our region and in our country, we need to plant healthy churches that plant more healthy churches.
Meet the Planter
Andrew Perkins is from Washington and has been a Pastor just outside of Seattle in Issaquah, WA for the past four years. He and Jillian have been married for eight years and have three daughters for whom they are very grateful. They are excited to be following God’s call in moving to the east side of Washington, and even more excited to see what God will do with this church plant!
Andrew has degrees from the University of Washington in Seattle and Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, MO. Jillian graduated from Whitworth University in Spokane. They both have deep loves for the Lord, His Word, His church, and for people. As a family, the Perkins love exploring the outdoors, welcoming people into their home, and making new friends.
We love Richland
Richland is a rapidly growing city with a fascinating history, a diverse economy, and many talents. We love Richland and we are a community committed to serving this place with the love of Jesus. We are excited to see gospel transformation happen in the lives of people throughout Richland, the Tri-Cities, and central Washington. We would love to have you join us.
We’d love to connect with you.
We are still in the gathering phase of this church plant. We plan to meet most weeks in small groups while we build our team. To find out when and where we are meeting next, or to meet the pastor, please reach out.
