Our church adheres to the historic, orthodox Christian faith as articulated in the Apostles' and Nicene Creeds, and our doctrinal standards are the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Westminster Larger (part 1, part 2) and Shorter Catechisms.

Trinity is a mission church of the Presbyterian Church in America, a denomination devoted to the inerrancy of the Scriptures, the Reformed theological tradition, and the fulfillment of the Great Commission (especially through church planting). This is a denomination that we are immensely thankful to be a part of as a young church, and a denomination that has thriving future ahead of it.

What We Believe

Why Trinity?

First, our God is Trinity. He is one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is relational in Himself. The Athanasian Creed says the Christian faith is centered on worshipping “one God in Trinity and the Trinity in unity”, and that “anyone who desires to be saved should think thus about the Trinity.”

Second, the Triune God is our life. Not only is He relational, but He works to bring us into relationship with Him. In Jesus Christ’s arrival, life, ministry, death, and resurrection, we see the Trinity at work, and we are shown the only way to true life. As Paul says, “For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father” (Eph. 2:18). In Jesus Christ, we have a love that “surpasses knowledge” (Eph. 3:19), and can know the one true God (Jn. 17:3). The Trinity is a mystery that we will not ever fully comprehend, but all we do know, learn, and experience fuels our praise of Him, pursuit of Him, and joy in Him.

Finally, we are a church in the Tri-Cities. There is no perfect analogy for the Trinity, but we live in a place that is known by one name and made up of three distinct cities. Three distinct rivers come together here as well. It is our aim to be people who embody the joy of life with our Triune God through serving Him in each of these three cities and being connected to the work of His kingdom in the Tri-Cities as a whole.
